ZeroToGo Reusable Takeout

ZeroToGo ™ is a pilot program for reusable takeout intended to significantly reduce the use of single-use plastic containers.

Nearly 1 trillion disposable food service products are used each year in the United States, resulting in 7.5 million tons of waste. ZeroToGo promotes a culture of reuse over a culture of throwaway, single-use. We also want a future free from the pollution and other health hazards associated with plastic food packaging and microplastics.

Phase I of the ZeroToGo pilot program ran from March – September, 2023 with participating restaurant Royal India Bistro, 60 registered LexZeroWaste households, and with container tracking provided by USEFULL.

Phase 2 of ZeroToGo has now restarted without any membership requirement or cost to all members of the community. For this phase of the pilot, we are partnering with Recirclable, LLC. for container tracking.  Royal India Bistro is again participating with more restaurants to follow as soon as possible.
